Available to the trade only, DiamondFloor.com is an online trading floor for buying and selling certified diamonds.   We facilitate the trading process on behalf of both the buyer and the supplier.  From the moment a buyer indicates “BUY,” we immediately confirm the transaction by e-mail, arrange for the diamond to be picked up by a secured courier service, authenticate the diamond using an independent gemologist, collect payment for the seller, and deliver the diamond to the buyer.  The service is driven by advanced technology and backed with complete logistical support that guarantees every diamond sale to be on time and at the correct price.

To become a buyer or seller, you must first register.  Simply log onto www.diamondfloor.com and complete the short registration form located in the REGISTER section of the site.  Within a few hours, you will receive an e-mail confirming the approval of your registration.  Once approved, follow these simple steps to begin trading:




Log onto www.diamondfloor.com.  Enter your username and password.


IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED BUYER,



Find a diamond. 
Search the user-friendly table to find the diamond you need by characteristics and certificate.


Request a diamond. 
If you cannot find the diamonds you need, simply post an ad on our “WANTED DIAMOND” page.  When suppliers see your ad, they will make an offer by e-mail via DiamondFloor.com



View a certificate.
  DiamondFloor.com only allows the sale of diamonds certified by reputable gemological institutes.  To view certificates onscreen, simply click on the name of the gemological institute shown.

Negotiate for a diamond
. Some of the diamonds on the site are up for negotiation.  If a diamond you are interested in does not say “non-negotiable”, you can either buy it immediately or negotiate a price. Once you make an offer, the diamond is placed under a “Cachet” for 24 hours. During this time, no one can buy or place a different offer for this diamond. The supplier will receive an e-mail advising him of your proposal, which he can view in the “My Negotiation Page.” Once the offer is viewed, the supplier can accept the offer and complete the sale, place a counter offer, or reject the offer completely (which releases the diamond form its “Cachet” status).



Buy a diamond. 
To place diamonds in your shopping cart, simply click the “BUY ME” button next to your selection/s.  At this point you have 2 options: a) continue shopping (you can go back to the shopping cart at any time by clicking the diamond cart button) b) check out when you are finished browsing by clicking on the “Check-Out” button to review your choices. If you do not check out within 45 minutes, your selection of diamonds will be returned to the trading floor.

DUTIES, TAXES & V.A.T.



DiamondFloor.com is not responsible for any country-specific charges such as Duties, Taxes and V.A.T.  If you are unsure of the applicable duties or taxes, simply contact one of our offices worldwide or e-mail us at duties@diamondfloor.com.

PAYMENT OPTIONS


Credit cards:  Visa, Mastercard,  (processing fee is 2.5% of total transaction)

                        American Express (processing fee is 3.1% of total transaction)


Wire Transfers, Money Orders, Cash & Checks are accepted by DiamondFloor.com, payable in U.S. dollars.  Transfer costs and cash deposit fees are charged to the buyer.  Delivery is made once payment has been cleared through the nearest Malca-Amit office.


INSURANCE

All items are fully insured, door-to-door, at no additional cost from pickup to delivery.

GEMOLOGICAL AUTHENTICATION

DiamondFloor.com does not sell any diamond without its certificate.  Each diamond is gemologically authenticated before delivery.  The cost of authentication is included in the shipping and handling charges. 

SHIPPING & HANDLING

All diamonds are packed and sealed with their certificates.
Malca-Amit guarantees delivery, insurance, gemological authentication and payment for each and every transaction.
Shipping and handling charges are calculated per diamond.
All diamonds are delivered within 5 business days, in most cases within 3 to 4 days

RETURN POLICY


Any diamond may be returned for any reason within 7 days of delivery.  You will be refunded for the full cost of the diamond, less the shipping and handling charges (round trip).  To make a return, simply e-mail dreturn@diamondfloor.com and we will arrange for pick-up.  Each diamond is subject to authentication before any refund is made.

  

ORDER TRACKING


Tracking your shipment is easy with DiamondFloor.com.  Simply enter your Order Number on the tracking page on our site.



IF YOU ARE A REGISTERED SUPPLIER,

 and would like to place diamonds for sale on DiamondFloor.com, you have 2 options:

 

  1. Contact one of our offices (see the WORLDWIDE OFFICES section of this booklet) and our customer service staff will assist you in uploading the details of your diamonds and scanned copies of their certificates.  Or,

2.      Download our Content Management System (CMS) software from the site.  This program, designed specifically for the use of registered suppliers on DiamondFloor.com, enables you to add diamonds for sale directly from your office onto the trading floor without our assistance.  System requirements for running the CMS software are:  a. Windows PC with a 486 processor or higher, and  b. 4.5 megabytes of free space on your hard drive.

“MY PAGE”

All suppliers have access to their own “My Page” on DiamondFloor.com, where you can revise product information or remove diamonds you have uploaded for sale on the site.  This page is secured and can only be viewed on the computer you’ve designated for these transactions.

CONFIRMATION

When one of your diamonds is bought on the site, you will be asked by e-mail to confirm its availability (you must confirm by return e-mail within one business day, or the diamond will be deemed unavailable, the order will be canceled and the diamond will be removed from the site).

If the diamond is available, it will be picked up by Malca-Amit, DiamondFloor.com’s designated courier, who will provide you with a pickup receipt.  An independent gemologist will then evaluate the stone to ensure conformity to its certificate before it is finally shipped to the buyer (suppliers must ensure that the certificate is sent with the diamond). 

MAKING A SALE

 

DiamondFloor.com is responsible for any diamond sold and will pay the supplier within 60 days from the date of its pickup.  There is no need for the supplier to insure the diamond or pay for shipping charges.  DiamondFloor.com collects all insurance and shipping and handling fees from the buyer.

 

RETURNS

In the event a buyer decides to return a diamond (see our RETURN POLICY), it will be returned at no charge to the supplier within 30 days from the original date of pickup from the supplier.

 

BILLING

Send an invoice to the nearest DiamondFloor.com office for the cost of the diamond sold.  Ensure that your invoice matches the price quoted on the site, while deducting the commission agreed with DiamondFloor.com.  Please do not add any other fees to the invoice and be sure to  attach a copy of the pickup receipt to the invoice.
